HOW TO MANUALLY END A SHOWING

SentriKey® Real Estate Mobile App Updates

We’ve updated the SentriKey® Real Estate mobile app to make it easier than ever to manually end a showing. We’ve replaced the stopwatch icon with a red “End Showing” button, which is now available in the showing information carousel as well as the home screen of the app. This allows SentriLock to provide more precise showing data to REALTORS® as well as ensure that listing agents and homeowners receive timely notice when a showing is complete. 

 

Below is a step-by-step guide on how you can manually end a showing: 

  1. Start the showing by accessing the lockbox with the SentriKey® Real Estate app. 
  2. The app will take you to the Showing Information carousel of the listing once the lockbox is open. 
  3. Once the showing is completed, tap the “End Showing” button under the carousel or on the Lockbox home screen. 
  4. You will receive a prompt to confirm that you want to end the showing. 
  5. You will then be asked if you need to return your key. 
  6. If you need to open the lockbox to return the key: 
    • Bluetooth® Lockboxes: When you tap the “Return Key” button on your screen, you will be prompted to Press the ENT button on the Lockbox, and the app will walk you through opening the lockbox to return the key. 
    • Non-Bluetooth® Lockboxes: When you tap the “Return Key” button on your screen, a Mobile Access Code will be generated. When the “Done with Showing” button is pressed, you will be presented with a “Success!” message stating that you have successfully ended your showing. 
  7. If you do not need to open the lockbox to return the key, tap the “Skip” button on your phone. 
  8. You will get a success page letting you know that you’ve ended the showing. 
  9. Tapping the “Dismiss” button takes the user back to the app landing page.

SentriLock will continue to automatically end a showing in the case that the agent does not do so themselves. However, manually ending the showing will provide the most accurate notification to agents and homeowners.
