  • Research the position by reviewing the job description. This will allow you to be better prepared for the interviewer’s position-specific questions.

Interview Tips

Nervous about the interview? It’s OK — everyone is! We want you to do well in the interview and show your true self. Here are a few tips to help you shine and make the best impression, especially if you do not have a lot of interview experience.

  • Bring an additional copy of your resume, and, if it is relevant to the position for which you are interviewing, a portfolio of work samples. Do not forget a pen and notepad.
  • Bring questions to the interview about the position, company, and interviewer.
  • Make sure you are on time, meaning 10-15 minutes early. Allow plenty of time for traffic and other possible delays.
  • Answer each question thoroughly, and keep your answers direct and focused on the interviewer’s question.
  • Great answers follow this structure: describe the situation, your action or task you did, and conclude with what the impact or result was.
